The 3rd annual Lakes and Trails Festival will be held on Saturday, July 20th, 2019 in Sydenham’s Point Park from 9 am to 2 pm.
The Lakes and Trails Festival is a community celebration of South Frontenac’s active lifestyle, natural beauty, and history. It focuses on walking, paddling, and cycling activities and includes a live outdoor music concert and free community lunch. Everyone is welcome to attend. Registration starts at 9 am. Come any time until 2 pm. Times for specific events will be available in June. There is no registration fee.
Walking and cycling activities will take place on both the Cataraqui and K+P Trails. There will be an accessible self-paced historic walking tour of Sydenham, paddling on Sydenham Lake, cycle trips around the lake, and a group walk to Harrowsmith on the Cataraqui Trail. There are also community booths, a crafters show, and other events.
The Festival welcomes children with a family cycle, a cycling skills competition, a children’s music concert, child-focused games, and swimming at the Point beach.
